Muslims need to thank Allah on Eid al-Fitr, give charity or 'fitrah', seek His forgiveness and ask for His blessings. So, I went to the special prayers in the morning, paid alm or 'fitrah' for myself and my family, prayed to Allah for forgiveness and his blessings and asked for His best reward for my fasting through Ramadan for Him alone. I am sure a huge majority of muslims have doen the same, so we should expect blessings of Allah and peace for the whole world in the coming year.
