It could mean that she ate something she should not have outside or it could mean that she is sick. Cats who are good about using their pans or going outside and then all of a sudden start poopin' in the house usually are trying to tell you something is not right. I would suggest you call your vet and ask them what they think.

Yes, it's possible she could be sick, but more likely, she ate something outside which didn't agree with her, and it's making it's way out once she comes indoors. If it continues and there is blood or infection in the feces or vomit, take her to a vet immediately, especially if she starts to convulse or shake violently, or if you notice that her eyes dilate unusually (such as only on one side and not the other), and she begins to walk off-balance or fall down stairs, etc. This could indicate possible poisoning and/or brain damage and could even kill your animal. She may also have possibly picked up any number of viruses or even feline leukemia; even moreso if you allow her to run free out of doors. But, don't worry unless any of these things occur. It may just be a simple matter of a hairball, or her having eaten garbage. Give it time to end (a day or two) before becoming too concerned, unless she developes worse symptoms,...and keep her inside so that you know for sure what she is really eating, and so she cannot be hit by a car on the road while roaming. She could also become pregnant, and unless you have alot of time and money to spend on new kittens, shots, special foods and a lactating mother cat, you may want to keep her in. Another aspect of keeping her in is that you can observe her feces(poops), and any abnormalities to it, firsthand. These can be the first indicators of illnesses.

Any unisual change in a cat's behavior is always a cause for concern and it is good that you are looking into it. From experience, I know that one of my otherwise very well behaved kitty would leave poop or smear his poopy butt where I can't fail to notice when he is upset about something - usually when I missed giving him attention a couple of days in a row. Some cats I have heard will use poop istead of urine to mark their teritory when they discover another cat lurking in the vicinity. Perhaps your kitty is doing that becuase he has noticed a new cat in his immediate neighborhood. Sometimes a cat will "go to the bathroom" in inappropriate places as a way to tell you that there is something wrong going on inside of her. So, if you can rule out the first two possible reasons, you might consider taking your cat to the vet for checkup.

She could be, especially if it is diahrrea, plus throwing up, I would call the vet and get her checked out. Make sure she doesnt have parvo, etc.
