Yes and no...
Hep A is an acute illness caused by consumption of contaminated food or water (unlike Hep B, Hep C). Once recovered there is no chronic carrier state..
The patients stools will have the virus in acute phase and contaminated hands etc. can contaminated food and water and cause transmission to another person
There is a reason why the transmission is called feco-oral(I am not kidding).
But sex with a patient, living together,exposure to blood,semen,saliva etc usually will not cause transmission.

Yes it is very contagious. you should be very careful around people That have it. Keep yourself very clean around the infected person. Spray some strong disinfectant to be safe from contracting the infection.

There are carriers of the virus even without symptoms. Fecal-oral route just be very careful not to let that happen and you are golden! Symptoms are Jaundice, just wash your hands well.

No more than a boy who recovers from measles can give it to others. It is a self limited virus.

NO! The virus is basically food poison after they get over it ,they are over it!
