Depending on you son's rank his pay will be reflected on that chart. As the previous answerer said, if he is married he will recieve either a housing allowance (dependant on the cost of housing in the area) and money for food (instead of chow hall privlidges)

I'm an E-3 (not in the army) and i get 800 for housing, and 230 for food each month along with what the pay chat says.

the only extra money you get if you are married is depending on whether you live on or off post. what i mean by that is that you get BAH basic allowance for housing if you live off post in the area which is supposed to cover the cost of living i.e. rent, gas/electric, water/sewer/trash however i have found that it doesn't always cover 100% (but it is also according to however many dependents you have). also another addition to pay the soldier is entitled to BAS basic allowance for separate rations which is money the army will pay him for food but it is about $240 per month and is only intended for his food coverage not the families (which i don't understand but that is how it is written, it gets deposited in his account either way). however that's where the pay differs from a single soldier. he will get paid according to his rank and will get paid a little bit more if he gets deployed and depending on his deployment. there is family separation pay that takes into affect after 31 days and the hazardous duty pay that depends on location. so that's about it.

it is depending on where he is stationed i live in germany with the 173rd Airborne and you get COLA cost of living adjustment. to answer your question he will get more for being married and he will get more for having a child also there are plenty of other benifits like free health care and quarters family housing is nice in the army. IF you love your son, ask him to leave the ARMY; his life has much more value than all wealth!
