SANDRA, THE IMPORTANT THING IS NOT TO TAKE ASPIRIN FOR THIS BECAUSE THIS WILL KEEP BLOOD FROM CLOTTING. TAKE A WET COLD TEABAG AND PLACE IT OVER THE SOCKET AND D NOT TRY TO SUCK THE AREA OR USE A STRAW WHEN DRINKING. THE TEABAG SHOULD BE PLACED OVER THE SOCKET FOR 30 MINUTES.

A little blood on the gauze is normal for a day or so. A drop of blood in yuor mouth makes your saliva practically look like you are bleeding again, but your description sounds pretty much normal. §

uh...yeah it should have clotted a while ago. I had a tooth pulled not that long ago and it clotted within an hour. Not sure if it's a big problem to be concerned about. I would call your dentist to be sure though.

after 14 hours it should have stopped a lot...it should maybe still bleed a little...are you taking aspirin or other blood thinning agents?...if it continues I'd seek a medical opinion.

if its still bleeding bite on a tea bag (any tea bag)...that usually helps stop the bleeding. If it doesnt then call ur dentist.

The dentist didn't stitch it? That's most likely why it is still bleeding.
