Hemorrhoids are basically varicose veins of the lower intestine. They get overfilled with blood when you strain to have a bowel movement, and sometimes will be expelled through the anal muscles during a bowel movement. Because the lining of the intestine is delicate, these veins will sometimes rupture and bleed. They are extremely painful, and cause a burning sensation when you sit, lie, or walk. You may be able to see one with a mirror, if you are that limber- and if it is protruding out. If it is protruding enough, you may see it without the aid of a mirror- but usually if this is the case you don't need a description to know what it is.
Immediate relief is usually with a warm bath, with some witch hazel added in. You can buy over the counter hemorrhoidal pads, to apply to the 'roid and help shrink and soothe it. They are also useful in cleansing the area after using the bathroom. While you are suffering, it is usually best to clean the area with warm water or baby wipes, gently applied, rather than regular dry paper. A doctor can give you a prescription for suppositories to further help to shrink the tissues and make things a bit more comfortable.
The primary way to treat hemorrhoids is with diet changes. You need more fruits and veggies in the diet, as well as plenty of the stuff grandmother called roughage. Whole grains, oatmeal, muesli- that sort of thing. Eat the whole apple, skin and all. Lay off the white bread and noodles, and ease up on the meat. Drink plenty of fluids. Eat the foods that usually make things move along for you, prunes, raisins, and such are the usual suggestions. You need to keep the stool moving through the system on a regular basis, and not allow yourself to get in the least constipated. Do not strain to pass a stool, if need be, use a stool softener like Colace. Try to avoid laxatives, as they are usually too harsh and diarrhea is not your friend.
If hemorrhoids are too large or don't respond to "gentle" treatments, then the only cure is surgical. It isn't pretty, and it isn't pleasant. Much better to change the diet and change the habits. Eat your veggies, use the witch hazel pads, soak your tush, and put some reading material in the little room so you don't rush the job. With luck and some changes, you can heal things up fairly quickly and be comfy again soon. If you really watch things, you can heal them completely in a few months time and never suffer again.

Pregnancy is also associated with hemorrhoids. These conditions lead to increased pressure within the hemorrhoidal veins that causes them to swell. Other conditions, for example chronic liver disease, may also cause increased venous pressure and may be associated with hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are very common and are estimated to occur in up to one-half of the population by age 50.

Yes, one home remedy is to soak in tub of hot water for as long as you can stand it repeatedly pouring the hot water over the affected area. Then, apply a generous portion of witch hazel over the affected area.

Witch Hazel is an astringent and it won't burn, but it will shrink the hemorrhoids over a two day period.

I love chile, the warmer the higher. A well chile will burn two times, as soon as at the means in and as soon as at the means out. I have occasional 'roid situation every now and then and I can let you know it DOES burn greater than a typical butt gap. I might rarely name it torture despite the fact that. Nothing everlasting approximately it. When I uncover a well burning highly spiced scorching burrito I return over and over again regardless of how dangerous the "go out" will get. Honestly, those men are such sissies!

Lay off the anal sex.

Sorry to hear that. You're really missing out. Anwyay, if there's a little fleshy part sticking off your butthole like some extra skin, that's a hemorrhoid. Whatever you do, don't try to squeeze it. Look it up on Wikipedia. A little whiskey, both locally and internally, is always useful for a pain in the ašš.

Best remedy is diet. Your body is telling you to cut out refined foods and sugars, white flour especially. Go on a more natural diet and the elimination process will be much smoother (no punn intended)
