I don't think female urologists are creepy, per se, but I would prefer that a person doctoring my plumbing is plumbed the same way, so they have firsthand experience about that type of equipment.

It is true that males usually prefer males and females prefer females. However, male gynecologist in practice of their profession normally are not "creepy" as you might think. They have pledged an oath in the practice of their profession not to behave such, otherwise they will face malpractice suit. Honestly I have not known any male gynecologist who looks at their female patient in a diferent way and I will tell you that that are many gynecologists who are much better than the females. I am a nurse and I myself experienced much contentment knowing how male gynecologist deal with their patients - they are most of the time more better and easy to deal with than the females do.♥

I've only had problems with one male gynecologist in the past 20 years and have had far more problems with female gynecologists. When I had to see a urogynecologist after my youngest son was born, I chose a female that is from England and she was gentle, sympathetic, understanding and encouraging.

Needed to go to a urologist for kidney stones. Only a female urologist on my insurance, to go with a non female off the plan would cost an extra $1500. I decided I wasn't so shy after all.

I've gone to a male gynecologist more than once. The nurse was there the whole time. I had no problem with it.
They are only doing a job in which they have been well trained.

Absolutely. I prefer a male ob/gyn, having been seen by both. I prefer not to go to the urologist ;)

I would go. The question now is: Would you still go if you know they are gay?
