Wait a minute....I thought from reading every other immigration question on here that only Mexicans immigrated here.

With a college degree from an American institution I'm assuming you've established enough residency to earn citizenship here. Of course with the great health care and pharmacy plans offered in Canada why would you want to do away with your citizenship? Of course you could apply for dual citizenship...that'd be cool and easier than going about setting up a business as a foreigner. They'll stick you with the taxes.

You don't need a million - 500K or 250K will do in the right location. What is a TN-1? I am quite familiar with a TN, and a TN requires that you fit one of the requirements from NAFTA. Entrepreneurs do not fit in this category.

Your best bet would be to get yourself on an H1-B. Your B.S and a job offer will help you to qualify. It does not stop you from being an owner of the company, but you will need and American to hold at least 50% of the company or you can forget your green card. Funny, but the INS does not like you to sign your own labor certification. This needs to be done by an American.

Or, you could marry an American, but after Canadian girls, that might be a little hard to deal with. I think it's something in the water down here.

There are Entrepreneurs visas with green cards to follow E2 and Eb5. I believe they involve investing 1,000,000 dollars in your new US based company and hiring at least 3 US citzens.

I am not sure if you have to invest this much to begin or must plan on investing this much over time.

But good luck.
