Most likely 18, though you would need to discuss it with your opthomologist.

I would like to say, that I have been around doctors my whole life (my mom is a nurse and Im a physical therapist), and not one of them has ever gotten Lasiks. Most MDs do not trust it. To many things can go wrong and the long ranging implications are not known at this time.

If you want clearer vision, you could try Acuview Day and Night contacts. You can leave them in for 30 days straight. You can even sleep in them! I have worn contacts for 10 years now and these are so comfortable and low maintence that I forget Im wearing them. It is a much safer and cheaper solution.

18 is the legal age in most states some its 21 but most drs are not going to perform the surgery on someone so young unless you arrived on the planet with vision problems-reason being, the surgery usually has to be repeated after 3-8 years depending on the person.

also this is not a regulated speciality so be careful that you get a trained professional and that they dont have any pending complaints with the state board of health or the better business bureau

I disagree. I could inform Mom that you simply handiest have three extra years to be a child and do child stuff and experience formative years earlier than fitting an grownup for the leisure of your existence and also you desire to benefit from the final of your younger days. I'm definite if she would be 15 once more for a night time together with her peers and cross trick or treating she could very a lot benefit from the enjoy. You will have to too.

well if you are under 18 then you need your parents permission for the surgery but thats just my opinion...universal is age 18 im guessing ....I had lasix 3 years ago....but lasix is not for everyone you need to be tested to be a candidate for the sx. Talk to your parents and see what they say... For me, the surgery gave me better vision and it brought up my self confidence and i look better!....I had coke bottle glasses.. From coke bottle glasses to nothing but perfect vision ....it was a miracle ...but like I said its not for everyone so cutie ...go talk to mom and dad and set an appt for the clinic and take it from there ....good luck ...($ 1500.00 for both eyes)

yeah i'm pretty sure it's 18, because it's not a required surgery, so you won't die without it. and also, when you're 18, you don't need your parents' permission for ANYTHING - so as long as you have the money, you can get it done and it doesn't matter what they say.

you could get parent permission to have it before then, but most eye docs wont do it becuse you are still growing til then and your eyesight won't be stabalized before 18. You dont want to get it early, only to have your eyes get worse again. Wait til after college i say, because all that heavy reading will make your eyes worse too.
