first of all, there does exist heaven, but there are only 144,000 people who were originally humans on the earth that will live there with god. the bible tells us that the rest of humankind will live on earth eternally, the ones that obey his laws. after you are dead, you cannot feel, hear, see, or anything. you are dead, until resurected.

No one is in Hell or Heaven at the moment, but they are in their graves, either it's piece of Hell or Heaven, but on the judgement day all dead will rise from their grave to be judged by what they did, small or big, and then they will either got to Hell, heaven, and those who are equal in both good and bad they stay in a mountain of mercy and after a while (no one knows how long) God will let them go to heaven.
heaven is up in the 7th sky, we don't just believe it, we KNOW it.

There is a personal Judgement ("My life passed before my eyes!")
There will one day be a Universal Judgement.
At the Universal Judgement, The Earth will be no more and even Satan will not be able to leave Hell anymore.

Its not a WHERE as much as its a WHAT. Same thing with Hell. Its not a place. Its a condition, lack of benefits, absence of glory, damned from eternal progression - -
Judgment takes place after the morning of the second resurrection - so those already in "heaven" are from the first resurrection (when christ resurrected) from Adam to the meridian of time. Our resurrection will be later. - obviously
