Is it walking in all the signs of the fulness of time, casting out devils, healing the sick, reading people thoughts (finishing others sentences), performing miracles and raising the dead and then walking away as if God never existed?

There are probably many different ways one could blaspheme the Holy Spirit, but the bible accounts of Pharoah fighting against God's plans for the Israelites is a good example. Even after 10 plagues that had devastated him and his people, he still had his heart hardened too much to allow them to leave in peace. Another one is the Pharisees accusing Jesus himself of using the demons to heal people. Jesus was using the power of the Holy Spirit and here were the Jewish religious leaders fighting against him with false accusations even with undeniable proof of miracles before their eyes.

It is the only unforgivable sin. This is one of the sins that is difficult to understand and the debates about it are also difficult to comprehend. (See link below). As I have had it explained to me a sin against the Holy Spirit simply put is one in which you say that someone else does not have God’s spirit within them or that they are not acting for God. We can not really know who is and who isn’t. Only God can know who is working for Him or against Him. Also a sin against the Spirit is one in which a person turns against God, willfully, with full knowledge that there is a God and refuses to repent of their sins at their death. It would be a premeditated act with full knowledge of what one was doing. You can not accidentally commit this sin.

I guess the thing that you mentioned could be a sin against the Spirit, but I think only if you knew that the power came from the Spirit of God and deliberately refused to acknowledge that to yourself or others. I certainly think that for those who are called to the gift of healing that this is a very serious temptation. That is the temptation to claim the gift as your own and to use it for your own purpose. This is why we must, as a very holy and wise man once told me, "be deeply rooted in the things of God".

Jesus showed it pretty clearly.

It is "giving credit for the work of the Precious Holy Spirit" and saying the miracles came from satan. UGH!

It is in Mark 3: 28I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. 29But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

30He said this because they were saying, "He has an evil spirit."

People were saying Jesus did miracles thru satan, or an evil spirit, instead of through the power of the dear Holy Spirit.

Call me conceited, but I know this one!

It's when you deny the fact that God is merciful and can and will forgive your sins. It's despairing in thinking that your sins are so great that not even God can forgive you. That is the one unforgivable sin. The Holy Spirit, one of the three persons in the Triune God, is the One who forgives you when you ask and seek confession.

It's the difference between Peter who denied Christ, but then repented, was forgiven, and went on to become the first pope and a great saint. And Judas who betrayed Jesus, and, instead of asking forgiveness, hanged himself, thereby sending his soul to Hell.

When you become enlightened with the truth, that Jesus died on the cross for you and all you need to do is accept His free gift of salvation to be saved from sins penalty, and you refuse to accept Him and then you die. You have committed the unpardonable sin against the Holy Spirit. Hell will suck so don't let this happen to you!

At my school, our Bible class just went over this and I think it's when your purposely speak against the Holy Spirit. For instance, you would laugh at the people that speak in tounges, or raise their hands in praise, or joke about people being slain in the spirit(like when they pass out) and you have no remorse for this and you really just don't feel bad at all.

It's denying the Holy Spirit. If you really, honestly have a testimony of the Spirit, and then you say that he isn't real, doesn't exist. Basically you believe in Him, but then deny everything that has happened to you that has proven it to you.

blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is committed by hardening your heart to the Lord. By denying him till death.
When we do this we are basically stateing that we do not believe he is capable of saving us. That his sacrafice is not enough. That his gift of salvation isnt good enough to save us.
