Lol the age is still 21 but when you go overseas it's usually lower like 18. Alot of bars in the states will look the other way if you flash your military ID too.

Its still 21 but in other countries the drinking age is 18. Also, it may not be legal, but some people think that if a person is old enough to serve in the military that you should be able to drink, so they will serve it to people even if you aren't 21.

My dad was Air force and I've lived overseas 12 years of my life on military bases, and the years that i spent in America where all on military bases as well. Age to drink even if you are enlisted in the military is the same for everyone else.
Of course the guys staying in the barracks have access to alcohol because their is lots of other guys who drink as well with them.
In England, Germany, Japan they dont really card people, suppose to be 18 but as long as you arent the driver and driving on base its okay if you arent 21.
Here in America they are suppose to be 21 to drink. Of course.. they dont follow that..

21. period. if your on base, or stationed state side you adhere to us drinking laws. you can technically drink off base if you are old enough in that country but you do face getting in trouble when you come back to base as you do have to go through security overseas. but just so you know, alot of people drink under age. i did. i just knew the bars that didnt id. if you know a bar is serving people under 21 you can report them to your local alchol control board and they will get inspected.
(technically though i think if you can die for your country you should be able to drink a beer now and again)

it's still 21 in the U.S., but in other countries the legal age is 18. So off base it might be ok to drink at 18. Sometimes it also depends on the unit and location.

Young service people usually get drunk because their friends of age buy the alchohol. If you go overseas, you will be able to drink off base though.

sorry to say jack, but most of these people do not know everything. they all are saying that you have to be 21. well, i was stationed in san diego, and we were allowed to buy beer on base at 18. the reason is because we would go to mexico and get trashed, and get cought by the mexicans trying to make it back. thats when they let is buy it and drink it on base. take it from me buddy, ive been there.
