I'm Christian first of all and I want Christian responses. Why do we worship Jesus when Jesus himself worshipped God? He even said to worship God and he was his son. Like I know a common response would be the trinity. Could someone please explain to me the trinity and where it is said in the bible about the trinity. i know the word itself is not mentioned but I know that it's implied. Thanks.

Not only is the word trinity not in the bible but the idea or teaching is not in the bible either.

Please read.

rs p. 405 pars. 1-2 Trinity ***
The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

*** rs p. 406 par. 1 Trinity ***
In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

(Romans 15:4-6) . . .” 4 For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had,

6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Well, let's see, the trinity...there is one God, the Father. Any thing else borders on false religion and false doctrine. As you probably know the Babylonians and Egyptians worshiped triad gods, but our God is One. No where does the Bible teach that Jesus is equal to God or that he should be worshiped as Almighty God. He prayed to God just as we do. The holy spirit is not a person, but rather God's active force. Study and comparisons of different scriptures that deal with the holy spirit will shed light upon it's place in worship, but it is not to be worshiped. The Bible does mention the Father, the Son and the holy spirit, together at Matthew 28:19, however, that in no way speaks of the trinity where all three are equal and almighty, it simply means that we recognize the proper place each has in our worship.

When many Christians are asked to explain the trinity, they get very vague and can't really make what the Bible says fit their description, therefore they label it a mystery. Like God would give us His Word, to teach us about him, but then make it a mystery so that we can't fully understand it. That doesn't sound like the perfect God that I know.

True Christians do not worship Jesus. At Luke 4:8, Jesus told Satan: "It is written, `It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him ALONE you must render sacred service.`" According to the trinity, the Father is God, the Son is God, and the holy spirit is God, but there are not three Gods, but one God. Confusing? Sure is. There is not one scripture in the Bible that will prove such a twisted concept of God. Instead, the Bible tells us at Ps. 83:18 that Jehovah is the name of the Most High. Jesus Christ is the name of the SON of the Most High. See Luke 1:32.

To illustrate how confused believers in the trinity are, look again at "Rabecky's" statement in support of the trinity. She goes on to say: "Jesus worshiped God because God created Jesus, even though Jesus is part of God, which is why Jesus is God's son." So, if God CREATED Jesus, how then can Jesus BE God?

If we are to worship God with spirit and truth, we cannot have a confused view of Him.

The Trinity involves God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. God is the part of the Trinity that has always lived in Heaven. Jesus is the human form of God. The Holy Spirit is the part of God that Jesus left here with us when he ascended into Heaven. It is part of us -- it guides our conscience. Jesus worshipped God because God created Jesus (even though Jesus is part of God -- I know, it's confusing), which is why Jesus is God's son. We worship Jesus because he died for our sins, so that God could forgive us and allow us into Heaven. He is the reason we no longer have to offer up animal sacrifices to God. He (Jesus) was the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus explains the Holy Spirit before ascending into Heaven. I'm sorry I don't have the specific location. I hope this helps you.

You have the first part correct .We should only worship God. The bible tells us that . Even Jesus only worshipped God his father.
Know where in the bible does it mention trinity. If it were a true thing then why is it not written? What is written is that many times and many ways that Jesus is seperate from his father and the holy spirit is also seperate from each of them. Unfortunatly this is a very popular false doctrine.

Well ... the trinity is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We have been taught and conditioned to worship Jesus because the church says Jesus is all three ... and if we dare to question it, we are threatened with eternal damnation.

A lot of what they tell us is the absolute truth at church are actually scriptures that have been twisted around to mean what the Pastor wants it to mean while keeping a grain of truth in there to keep you from questioning that what he says is right. That way, they can keep you under control so you keep coming to church, justify taking up all your time, keep you giving your money to the buiding fund or the pastor's anniversary, making you honor him as being the top authority of what God thinks you should do, and forces you to live your life the way he sees fit.

Most of them mean well by trying to give you the truth that they were taught to believe, but some of them use it to their advantage to fleece you.

The Trinity’s Early Origins

The Bible tells of many gods and goddesses that people worshiped, including Ashtoreth, Milcom, Chemosh, and Molech. (1 Kings 11:1, 2, 5, 7) Even many people in the ancient nation of Israel once believed that Baal was the true God. So Jehovah’s prophet Elijah presented the challenge: “If Jehovah is the true God, go following him; but if Baal is, go following him.”—1 Kings 18:21.

The worship of pagan gods grouped in threes, or triads, was also common before Jesus was born. “From Egypt came the ideas of a divine trinity,” observed historian Will Durant. In the Encyclopædia of Religion and Ethics, James Hastings wrote: “In Indian religion, e.g., we meet with the trinitarian group of Brahmā, Siva, and Viṣṇu; and in Egyptian religion with the trinitarian group of Osiris, Isis, and Horus.”
The Bible never even HINTS at a triune Godship between Jesus, Jehovah and the Holy Spirit. It isn't implied or alluded to. Their individual roles are clear, and separate. The theological term of "TRINITY" is a man made term and not something scripturally supported.

Now, for why people put so much emphasis on Jesus Christ and basically ignore his Father, Jehovah, there are a few reasons.
1) Most people feel more comfortable worshiping a diety or 'person' that they can actually see or that HAS been seen. It makes their worship more 'real' to them and thus, easier for them .

2) No one has any idea what Jehovah looks like, and they never can because of his wonderous glory- Imagine, He created our SUN and no one can look directly at IT and it is one of the SMALLER stars in the universe, and he created ALL OF THE STARS!! Imagine, someone that could do that, his power is immense and surely, no man could handle the vision of that!

3) Putting an image of Jesus on a cross in the front of a church, apparently giving people something to worship,( even tho it defies the FIRST COMMANDMEN), apparently makes them more comfy in their faith. And wearing images of the ( supposed ) cause of his death around their necks seems to obliterate any sins they commit while wearing it. ( I've seen hookers and drugs dealers with crosses on, and violent gang members with cross tattoos... I've always found it rather ironic.... )

4) Satan will do ANYTHING that he can do to keep God's real name away from the people. Since the translation of the King Jame's Version of the Bible and his vast removal of Jehovah's name from it , more and mroe people have fallen away from knowing his name . Well, this just makes Satan happier than ever, because the more folks he can drag down with him during Armeggedon, the better he likes it! So, by his helping promote the SON over the FATHER it really takes the attention away from the FATHER , who deserves the TRUE worship.Jesus himself even said “I do nothing of myself: what the Father has taught me is what I preach; he who sent me is with me, and has not left me to myself, for I always do what pleases him.” (John 8:28, 29, The Jerusalem Bible)

I believe she asked for Christian responses...and how is this question a fatal flaw? Jesus said "You can only get to the Father through me" Also in Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, "Let US make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea..." which shows God speaking with plural pronouns because he is referring to the trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There is a lot of information on www.answersingenesis.com if you should need any other "fatal flaw" questions answered. It's a great website. Asking questions will only strengthen your faith...it did mine!

I am not Christian so I apologize to not conforming to your request, but I think it is worth noting, that original Christianity for about 300 years after Christ had no concept of the trinity. It was around 300 AD that there was a huge debate in the Churches whether or not to integrate this trinity. Personally, I thin you can be Christian and not belive the three in one, but believe that Jesus was more of a prophetic figure who preached God's decree (the ultimate super human God that is). Anyway, peace and I pray for you on your journey to truth.

When Jesus told us to worship God, he was a man when he said it. Remember that Jesus was God made into man because what other way was there for God to understand what mere mortals go through?
