It could be the grease. It could also be any number of things. Hair is very reactive to environment, diet, and treatments. Also, the lifespan of a hair follicle is only seven years. Hair is going to fall out no matter what, it's just a question of the rate. If it's falling out faster than it's growing, there may be a health problem. Be sure that you are eating a healthy diet and taking careful care of your hair. A clarifying shampoo should help remove all the styling products you use, and a moisturizing conditioner down to the roots should take care of the dry scalp. Jello also helps (it contains Keritin, a protien that helps strengthen hair and nails) and it tastes good!

Honestly if you are really losing a significant amount of hair you should go get a check up at the Dr's. There are various health issues that can cause hair loss. I was losing quite a bit of hair once and it was caused by a serious thyroid problem, once I got that taken care of it grew back. I know some hormone levels can cause hair loss too, so maybe it's just part of the wonderful hormone level changes that go along with being a teen. But it's best to be safe and make sure it's not being caused by something that needs medical attention.
If you go get checked and nothing comes up, maybe ask the person that cuts your hair, I bet they might have some ideas.
