My husband is currently is college and one of his classes is PE (diet and exercise ) he actually asked his teacher about that and he was told by the teacher that it really doesn't matter if you eat before or after working out. As for how long you should wait, at least an hour. I hope this helps you out

Before you exercise like an hour before have a light meal like some yougurt and fruit after exercising drink water and try eating some fruit

If weight lifting than you should eat 2 hours before
if doing cardio you should probly eat afterwards so you dont throw up or burp up anything. Really if cardio is what your doing it doesnt matter its just personal prefferance when you eat. If you find that you have a lack of energy while doing cardio then you should probly eat 2 hours before. If energy is good then you can eat as soo as your done with cardio if you want.

It's probably best to have carbs before your workout and protein after your workout. Carbohydrates (sugars and fibers) will help give you energy to do your workout while protein is what your body needs to convert into muscle. Try having an energy bar or something like yogurt and granola before your workout and some sort of meat or cheese afterwards. Good luck!

You should probably exercise before. The reason being is because it pumps up the hormones, and gets your blood circulating. Munch on crunchy celery, carrots, nuts and watermelon, any melon: good stuff!!

Excercising first thing in the morning before breakfast has got to be the best. Over night while you are sleeping your body has used all of its carbs, therefore when you excercise in the morning before you eat you are burning fat, rather than energy (carbs)!!!!! I'd say load up on protien after the workout to feed your muscles!!

well for me i eat a very light breakfast and after i go to gym for 2 hours when i came back i eat a nice lunch so after excercising is maybe 1 hour meanwhile takes me to go to home and prepare my meal you should eat always healthy food fruit, cereals, salmon, rice anything who does not have too much fat or grease.

im pretty its better to exercise after eating so that way you can burn off what you ate.
