Feeling a little prideful? Upset that human good works are inadequate? Or just having trouble with the concept of mercy?
Jesus taught that those who thought that they were better than others don't get into Heaven because they would never be humble enough to ask for forgiveness --- due to the fact that they assume that they do not need it. What's so illogical about that?

never mix religion and logic, it's a paradox. That and the buddhist monk doesn't believe in Heaven, maybe that's why. OR the buddhist monk wants to save those in hell and the only way to save them is to GO TO THEM. Not sit on your pop's hand and have your *** kissed 24/7 for eternity.

The Bible also says that God is a Mystery. And, remember that passage where Jesus tells the deciples that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than to enter into heaven and his disciples then ask how it is possible for anyone to enter into heaven and Jesus responds, "through God, all things are possible." - So, do we REALLY know that a Buddhist monk would not go to heaven?
We really don't know fully what happens after death. Jesus says that no one can enter into heaven exept through Him... but do we really know FULLY what that means?
If a child is brainwashed into becoming a soldier for a revolutionary group and ends up killing people - is he responsible for his actions? He knows nothing else. I think that child has a greater chance of going to heaven than a person who has always been a "Christian" and has lived in luxury. Because, for that boy to show one ounce of kindess to one person might mean more than that Christian who goes to church regularly and gives alms.
It mentions things similar to that in the Bible as well.

Whoever creates "heaven" can make the rules of who gets in.
Heaven is an example of the "unfairness" of God. Most religions create "heaven", the Brighter World, Brahmaloka, or re-incarnation, as mechanisms to keep the unclean masses under control. Religions don't realize that the average person does not commit all the wars but that "religions" and the "power hungry" create the condition that lead to crime and eventually to war...

What Jesus did on the Cross, is Far Greater that any Sin or Sins we can Commit.
You have to Believe Who Jesus is in order to get your Spirit Recreated (Born-Again, Saved).
Religions cannot Recreate you (a Spirit).
Jesus has to have your Permission to Save you.

I completely agree with you, the bible isn't at all logical, and yet people devote their entire lives to something that doesn't even make sense.

Who Say's he will go to heaven? In the resurrection the unrighteous ones will be resurrected for judgment to see if they are deserving of life.

the Bible is only Christian rules, so the Monk is not relevant to their belief system.
