Well I'm getting my lip ring done TOMORROW.

Now I'm wondering if I work at Save Mart as a bagger are they gonna tell me to take it out every single day even right after I got it peirced?

Also I wanted to know will the initial peircing hurt alot?

So I'm getting answers like, oh it will leave a scar etc. etc.

Please just **** off holy **** I don't care if someone's gonna laugh at me. I'm deciding to do it to my own body if I'm judged for it they can go **** themselves.

uhh you might get grounded...lol just kidding, Well while a lip ring could prevent you from getting a better job in the future by making you look unprofessional, You can always take it out. So the only thing you should worry about is keeping it clean so you can keep your lip even if you dont want the ring. As far as pain, Every stories different its for you to find out. And a scar? my god the hole is like pencile lead size right at lip line Who the hell would look that close and be like uhhh theres a lil..... lol if they do then they dont pay attention to you while your talking

I can tell you that at my job we do not hire anyone with peircings. As soon as they walk in we say forget it. We dont even give them a chance, just the look is unprofessional. Why would you even apply for a job with that stuff hanging off your face and think you might get a job, thats totally ridiqulous, lol. From what ive heard is no it wont hurt. The after care might be stringent but im sure you can handle it. Rock on!!!

I am older. But as a an old hippy I remember and don't judge people by the superficial. I hired a girl against my supervisors advice who was all into the Renaissance thing. She ended up being every ones favorite. But not all people are like me. It is painful and may not be what you want when you have children. If I were you I would think of a tongue piercing. You don't have to remove it when you kiss. It is not as noticeable and the tongue will heal and close up if you decide to remove it. Here is to youthful expression. GOOD LUCK

Yes... they'll probably tell you to take it out... I have mine pierced, but I never wear it. It's been pierced for 4 years now, so it wont close up. Anyways, mine actually didn't hurt at all, but I have a VERY HIGH pain tolerance.

I got mine repierced when I was 18 and I didnt want my parents to see b/c they hate it, so what I did was (very carefully) get a clear retainer for it and put neosporin on it. Then I quickly take the metal ring out and put the clear one in. Then be sure to soak your lip in the warm sea salt water to prevent infection (do this if they make you take it out!)

Oh.. and yes you will have a tiny tiny tiny dot of a scar if you ever decide to take it out.. mine will not close so it's just a tiny hole which no one can see unless you point it out (it's actually my labret... right under my bottom lip)

Another thing I wanted to say wasthat it wears you gums down. It wore my gums down and you have the get like a surgery to fix it. Mines not too bad, but just watch out :)

8D GOOD LUCK!

Well, well why are you asking for advice?? With your attitude you are going to do what you want to anyway. I would like to know how old you are.

Yes, you will be sorry. Yes, people will (right or wrong) treat you differently. Yes, it will hurt. Yes, it will be a pain in the future to eat. Yes, it hurts when you have to rotate it. Yes, your employer will make you remove it and then you won't have any job.

My granddaughter had her nose pierced. She is 16. I noticed it was gone. When I asked her about it she told me it was not worth it. She is a dancer. She was told she had to remove it in order to perform. She is interviewing for part time jobs and she has to remove it. No more piercings for her. (Except ears)

There are going to be many, many things in life you are going to have to do that you don't want to or agree with. Read your last sentence in your question. That will get you no where in this life except in trouble.

Growing up is some times painful. But, we all have to do it.

The lips are a comfortable area, so getting a hoop will harm on the start, and you will ought to take extra care with cleansing to dodge an infection. Lip and tongue embellishes have a bent to wreck your tooth from the consistent rubbing, so assume to have extra regularly occurring journeys to the dentist.

Other then looking like a side show freak. (In my opinion) It is totally your decision. However if I was your employer (which I do have a business), you would either remove the ring while at work or remove yourself from my employ.

The general public takes a dim view of facial piercings.

God only gave us so many holes in our body and he did that for a reason. If you do this and a few years later you decide that you don't like it, you may have a scar there for the rest of your life.
