People decide to be offended. Why would anything you hear on an anonymous internet site offend you? It's not like you are forced to live and work with these people. You are fully choosing to interact with them and take from the interaction whatever it is you want to take.
If people want to be offended, why do you care? You could tell them you hope they have a long and fruitful life, and if they want to be offended they will suddenly be able to see sarcasm.

Because most of them are offensive and rude. This may be a new concept for you, but being offensive and rude to people *tends* to upset them...

Sarcasm is the lowest form of humor.
It is demeaning and insensitive.
On this site, it's only used to provoke.

I do sometimes because I see a good way to make a point...yes evil me. Sarcasm is mean too. I don't thinks its good to use...but I'm sure I've used it.
