Well, your question seems to imply that children consciously choose whether or not to emulate behaviors they see. Humans are hard-wired otherwise, however...
Children are born soaking up information that they see, hear, touch, and smell. They automatically and unconsciously look to others who are older for examples of how to walk, talk, think, and act. Children naturally idolize older people and will soon pick up words, mannerisms, habits, and the like learned from them.
This, of course, has stunning implications for all of us whether we are teens or older -- somewhere out there are people younger than we who are looking up to us in some way or another. It does not matter if we ask to be a "role model" or not -- it is foisted on us.
It is an awesome responsibility on our part to exhibit our best behavior, because children also have another unconcious tendency...
They will tend to emulate what they see ten-fold...

It is good for children to learn from parents only if they are living a godly, clean, positive life before their children. But if the parents are doing sinful, immoral, unhealthy things in front of the kids it only sets a bad example for the children. It also helps to verbally teach your children how they are to live but keep in mind whatever you teach them, you must also be able to live what you teach.

I think is good but most important the parents need to explain to the children why they are living this kind of life.

Good or bad, it's human nature. Children learn by emulating the actions and lifestyle of their parents. This is especially important in the early years, though they may change and make their own decisions later in life.

If the parents are healthy, happy, functional people, then it's good. If not, it's not good. Either way, though, it's inevitable children learn how to live life by watching their parents.

Parents should be the example for how they wish their children to live; however, you must remember, when they become adults they are free to make their own choices. Hopefully, if the parents have been good role models, the young adults will not stray too far from their principles.

depends on the behavior of the parents for sure! If they are honest, loving, dependable people who embrace life, then certainly they can show their children the right way to live. They learn what they live!

That answer depends on the type of parents they are, if they have good parents then that would be OK but if their parents are killers then no that wouldn't be a good idea.
