If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called "Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It may take 6 to 8 weeks to see results.

This is what I suggest to PREVENT damage to your hair, and help prevent the birth of split ends.
1. Use a Anti-Breakage Shampoo and Conditioner, I use Tresemme.
2. If you iron/curl your hair use a Heat Tamer spray to prevent further breakage. (Once again, I use Tresemme) : )
3. Never brush your hair with a brush when your hair is wet. Comb it with a wide-toothed comb.
4. If you blowdry your hair keep it at a cool setting.
5. Don't use rubberbands that are tight-tight.
6. Take a multi-vitaman for healthy strong hair.
7. It would also make your hair grow faster if you trim any split ends if you have some. Try half an inch every 3-4 months.
Hope this helps :)

take a daily vitamin a drink a ton of water sounds cliche but its very true- your nails and hair are the last of the body to receive vitamins so if you are deficient than your hair will suffer otherwise i dont think there really is a product out there that actually works that would grow your hair faster even though they claim to. Your body is genetically encoded show you would have to take something internally to change the physical structure hence the vitamins and water best to do it naturally. In the meantime make sure to get a 1/2 inch trim every 6 weeks to maintain split ends and use a conditioner for dry/damaged hair to restore some vitamins to your cuticles.

Scientiffically hair can not grow at a faster rate. Mine, to get to my shoulders takes about a year when its to my chin. It all depends on your speed rate. Also, hair is dead. They are dead cells from your body. So there is no way for a shampoo product to make them longer. I had thought that those kind of things would help it grow faster, but it doesnt. You should be able to use a straightener and stuff, but dont overly use it. Blow drying on cool is one of the best ways to straighten.

A healthy diet with plenty of low fat dairy is good! keep it in good condition using quality hair products, use a treatment at least once a week, if all else fails get some extensions!

theres lots of products out there that will tell you they will make your hair grow faster, but its impossible. the only thing that will help your hair to grow is giving yourself daily scalp massages maybe using a little essential oils. massaging your hair folicles will stimulate them and "wake them up"
also, getting trims every other month helps ALOT

You could try taking pre-natal vitamins. As well, adding extra protein to your diet will help ( leans meats, eggs, nuts, milk etc..)
