I will definitely try the Panasonic, I have two and I don't want nothing better, they are very reliable, I don't know for what reason but the batteries seem to last forever and best of all, the clarity of the sound in either direction is superb...

Home phones aren't really logical nowadays. You probably already have a cell phone. So take your cell phone bill and add to it what you would pay for a home phone. Then add some money to it for other charges like long distance and overage charges. Take that number and up your cell phone plan so that you don't have to worry about minutes and just use your cell phone and do not have a house line. It just makes more sense. I pay $100 a month for my cell, and I NEVER have to worry about paying more. No matter where I call, when I call, or who I call. I pay $100 for the peace of mind not having to worry about going over what I'm paying for and having to pay outrageous overage fees.
