get him a nice watch, if he's really close, get him some nice underwear. i did apreciate it when my friend got me some!
but find out what he needs first! a think that he doesn't have.

His favorite band on cd, tickets to a local "club"(all ages club) band show.
Maybe a nice shirt or cologne.
