I want to sell my car for scrap metal or parts. Who do I talk to?

My car runs good and I was told to go to ecology.com but received no answers on selling my car for scrap metal or parts.

My car is a 1989 Lincoln Town Car.

you need to call your local junk yard and see what they offer you for it,they might pay a fair price for it,but that would be who i would call on it,good luck i hope this help,s.

You can place a ad in the Classified section of your local paper. If the car runs ok, and doesn't look like it was used for bombing practice, sell it for cheap transportation. You should be able to get a few hundred dollars for it. If you part it out, you may have it for a LOOONG time. You can sell it as is to an auto salvage yard, but don't expect more than $50-100.

Take it to a junk yard. You might get $50.00 - $100.00. But if it runs well, why junk it now? Run it until it drops, THEN junk it.

Regardless of how much fuel it guzzles, you'll never get a better deal than a fully paid-off and depreciated vehicle that still runs well.

Look in the phonebook for wrecking yards. Most will pay $100 plus for junk cars and some will pick it up

I'd call Goodwill. They pick up your car for FREE and you get the fair market blue book value as a deduction on your taxes. If that doesn't interest you, the best thing you could do is call a salvage yard.

or if you really need the money, then just get a junk slip from the DMV and call a junk yard, or part it out and then pay the junkyard to take it.

look in the yellowpages or the local newspaper. Lots of companies buy junk cars.

talk to youre local scrape yared. or an auto body shop. theres not a ton of call for it..
