my husband just left for basic like last week. Tonight he called me and like was talking very soft and then was like i gotta go i herd a door open. Do u think he was snaeaking a phone call? OUr convo was like 36 sec. I am worried he was amd maybe got caught. What would happen if he did???

When I went through basic there were only certain times we were supposed to use the phones, even though they were right there all the time. He probably snuck a call. If he got caught, worse case the abused him with some extra curricular PT (thats physical training in case you didnt know). Maybe they wont let him call next time. Dont worry. You should tell him to write more and just call when he's allowed, so as to not draw more attention to himself. Thank him for volunteering though. We appreciate it.

when one guy gets busted doing something its like everyone got caught doing, so he problly got to stand around and watch his whole platoon get smoked ( lots of push ups, sit up,s ect...) so that everyone would hate him and then they would get relaesed and the drill sargent would smoke him privatly. but thats an army way and my hubby had similar situations when he was in basic, be happy you got a 36 sec call, my hubby's platoon was on red zone for ever and he only called 3 times during his 4 months, sucked

Just be glad he got 36 seconds,, he must be hiding his cell phone??lol my son did that!! You will have to face it that you may not get any calls during basic,, each basic training is different.. they have to earn the right to call home with a pass.. If he screws up he will be on restriction..

My husband did the same thing when he went to basic.Actually,he was in reception for a month.And yes,Im quite sure he was sneaking a phonecall.May or may not have gotten caught,probably will get some extra duty or P.T, if he did. May even have phone priviledges taken for a while.May depend on military branch,I can only tell you from our experience.He needs to get a lookout.haha. If he got caught Imagine about 40 other guys wanting to kick his butt cuz he got caught, and now they are all payin the price thats about the quickest answer i can been there seen it no good can come from it
