Earlier this evening, I noticed that my dog's tail acted limp. For example, it moved in a choppy motion, not in its normal flowing motion. Is this something I should really be concerned with? What should I do?

It could have injured it's tail, also back pain will cause them to wag or to hold their tail funny. I would keep your dog quiet and comfortable tonite (no running or jumping) and call the vet tomorrow. Remember that you should not give your dog any medication for pain unless directed by your vet with proper meds and dose, otherwise it could be dangerous! Good luck!

Take it to a vet because it might have broke it's tail doing something dangerous? Is your dog one of those adventurous ones? Well really I would take it to a vet and see if it's tail is broken.
Best of luck with the dog!

In the morning call you vet...did the dogs tail get caught in a door. Look to see if there are any lumps or cuts on the tail.
