Proactive does work well but it is pricy-- i would recommend going to your local wal-mart/target etc and picking up a decent face scrub aveeno is nice and oil free or Oxy and Biore is a great brand, a scrub is good to cleanse the skin of dead skin cells then get a toner Biore's ice toner is great to close the pores and get a light oil free moisturizer neutrogena has a nice one for acne prone skin believe it or not its really really important to moisturize if you dry your skin out and dont moisturize your skin will naturally produce more oils causing further breakouts try to moisturize twice a day your skin will thank your skin needs all day protection even if you mix your moisturizer with your foundation or buy a combination like Olay thats great too!

I use proactive BUT...I only use the face wash (the toner made my face REALLY greasy and eventually the "Repairing lotion" started making me greasy too. (But I have used it for alot of years) I found they sell it at my local Mall in one of those "carts" in the middle of the mall so now I go once a month and for $20 I buy a bottle of face wash. I try to go easy on it though.

Try pure tea tree oil. it can go on skin neat and is very cheap. apply it to clean skin. use a gentle cleanser morning and night and apply the oil to individual spots. if you must pick a spot: clean your skin before and after and use a tissue not just your fingers!

The safer, easier way, according to my mom, is to use Cover Girl advance radiance lotion sample. Believe her, it's a good investment. She just loves using it. Visit this site http://www.upkb.com/covergirl.php for more skincare tips and product details.
