Probably b/c it was something you were used to. You just need to adjust to being alone or try dating someone new.

Well, probably because some part of you remembers why you fell for him in the first place, and any/every good moment you had. That soft spot tends to be stubborn and refuse to listen to the brain, which recalls why it didn't work out, and would prefer not to do that again, thanks. We rarely feel just one way about anyone - for example, sometimes people we love can drive us nuts, and we still love them.
That soft spot tends to gloss things over, make excuses, and yearn - it's the part of the heart that says to itself, "hey, change is hard and the future isn't guaranteed, so why not go back to the familiar?" Spend some time talking to the brain - the brain recalls why chancing change was the better option. Just give yourself permission to still love the guy, in some small part of your heart - it's normal, and recedes with time. Good luck!

I really need more information to give you an accurate answer. Because you still love him? Because you miss the security and comfort that came with the relationship? Because you miss the cookies he would make you every day? I don't know. I want to help you, but without knowing what you think is the problem first, I can't.

You should be asking yourself why did you break up with him in the first place. If you still are feeling the pangs of singledom, make a list of his good and bad qualities. If that doesn't work, call your best friend because chances are she can give you a thousand reasons why you dumped his sorry **** :) Good luck, stay strong and fight the urge to call him! (Easier said than done!)

It's hard to start over & much easier to fall back onto what's familar. However, if you go back with your ex, don't repeat the same mistakes again.

You can't have your cake and eat it.
It's merely a case of hormones.
Practice meditation and start a new hobby to forget him. You'll love yourself for it.
