no, their time is so controled from the time they wake them up to the time they go to sleep and to break a rule can not only get them but thier entire goup in trouble, so others help keep him following the rule. They would discuss his behavior withhim in the middle of the night if he was to try and use phones when not allowed.
Write him a letter every day and mail it. After he is about 2/3 of the way though, he will start having more free time as long as thier group is doing ok.

Yes he could be. My husband is in the Army and has staff duty in the evenings and at night to watch the basic training soldiers. Just last night when I called him he had taken away 3 cell phones and a portable playstation. The only time he can call is on Sunday and only for 5 minutes. If he calls you any other day he is sneaking around. What branch is he in? And where at? If he's in the Army I can ask my husband about him and let you know. It can be totally discrete. Email if you'd like to know?

When they first get there, they get one phone call to tell a relative or friend that they got there and they are fine then they must hang up. That might explain why you got at least one of those calls. My brother was at basic this summer, after a few weeks, he was able to call home on Sundays which was a free day. Don't get suspicious and let your mind run into a crazy direction like that. Time is limited for them, and all you can do is make sure you tell him you love him as soon as you get on the phone so you don't have to worry about not saying it if the conversation is short.
Don't forget to write letters. It was pretty cool to actually write and get real mail all summer.
Congrats to your husband for being brave enough to serve our country, and to you for supporting him.

Yeah in basic the troops are not allowed much time at all to talk until near the end of their training. It sucks.
And yes her husband...I'm sure she's just using his yahoo account...

Sounds suspicious to me...but I don't trust guys generally. I say...just be flat out honest with him. Let him know what you are feeling about it. I think...something fishy is going on though! Good Luck!

He probably just wasn't supposed to be on the phone. Mention it next time you talk to him if it's bothering you!
