This man beat you and your grandmother did not even notice? Was she gone?
I really do not know if it would help you much to tell you grandmother, since she seems to have an apparent issue with stressful situations. She lied to you so she would not have to deal with your grandpa being jailed, so I really do not know if she is able to stand up against anything well.
So, my advice to you is to go to the school counselor, and ask he or she to help you. If you go to church, then go to your pastor.
I am not saying your grandmother does not love you by any means, I am just saying that she may have a problem standing up to a bad situation. So, please do not think she does not care for you.
My heart goes out to you, and you are in my prayers. God bless your life in many ways.

First of all, I'm so sorry your grandmother told you your grandfather was dead, but I'm even more sorry that your grandfather assaulted you!!! He had no right to do that to you!!! Are you ok?? Do you need to go to the doctor?? If you aren't feeling well, then you should go. If you have bruises then you need to take photos of the bruises for the police. Since it sounds like your grandmother is trying to protect your grandfather (the jail incident), then I wouldn't tell her, but you DO need to tell someone you can trust....a teacher, a councilor, a parent of friends and or the police!! I'm also sorry that you can't talk to your parents, they are the ones you should be able to lean on the most. You take care and I will be remembering you in my prayers!

I agree with Barbiq, tell anyone and everyone that will listen. I grew up in an abusing home and it doesn't need to continue. Tell your friends, family, grandmother (especially) teachers, couselors, neighbors and the police. Something like this will get him sent back and if he is acting this way the first day he is out, he shouldn't be out in the first place!

tell your grandmother. she needs to know. If your grandfather assulted you that sounds like a parole violation... he better be careful or he will be going back to the big house!
