Periods generally start between the ages of 10 and 16...it varies a great deal from girl to girl...but if your 25 and having your periods...just what is it that you need to know?

And just for the record girls dont start them younger because they are "over-sexualized"....alot of girls start them earlier now for the same reason that they grow breasts early...its got alot to do with the growth hormones that they feed alot of live stock to produce meat faster.

It varies. Some start as early as 9 or even earlier sometimes I have heard. But ages 12 through 14 are about the average time a girl starts, and then some dont start until they are 16 or so.

First off, there is no minimum age to start. Aunt Flo comes whenever she wants to. Secondly, I highly doubt that you're 25 because you spelled period, started and problems wrong. Check that birth certificate again sweetheart. Anyways, with that out of the way, if you're period is messing up, it could be a chemical imbalance, you could be pregnant, you could have an infection, etc... I would see a doctor to find out what's going on.

ages 8-14 is normal to start, and if not by 15 then one should see the Dr. You didn't say what kind of probs you were having, to many; absence there of, or heavy and painful. Some changes as we age and our bodies change is normal, but some are not. When I was young, mine were so heavy and painful that the Dr's put me on the mini pill to balance them. When in doubt, always always check with your GYN.

There is no minimum age. You could just be going through some sort of hormone changes. If you're concerned, see a dr.

I was 12 when I started mine and it has been regular ever since. Now a days girls are getting it younger and younger because they are becoming over-sexualized.
