IKE - I was not asking for anyone to "sum up" the war. I was asking whether you WANT us to win or loss!

Just because someone believes we won't win, doesn't mean they can't WANT us to win.

Simple enough for you?

Yes, of course. But the "win" needs to be more than just in Iraq. The win needs to create a foothold for democracy, freedom from tyranny and basic equal rights for all in the middle east.

If you think that's Utopian, then answer one question. Is there ANYONE on God's green earth who would say they DON'T want to be free?

How could anyone portray fighting for the freedom of the Iraqis as Americans oppressing these people?

Yes. Nothing positive can come out of us losing. Terrorist will see us as weak if we lose. However I’m not sure if there ready for a democracy. To most of muslims only athority is the Koran. The Iraqi constitution states that no law shall go against islam.(yes the one they created recently) I’m not sure what the point is of a democratic society if there only rule is islam. My only hope is that they will be more moderate not extremists. Then again who is the true follower of islam? The extremists, or the moderates? Look at the life of there prophet and tell me if he was a peaceful person?

Uh, I can't really say yes or no because I really don't think there will be any true winners here. Someone said they want the Iraqis' to win. Fine, but they still have to be trained and taught how to run a government or country and that's our objective there; in case anyone was wondering why we're still there.

I hope & pray to God that the US fails badly in Iraq & quits soon. I Hope that the Iraqi resistance fighters, like the Vietnamese before them, continue to stand up to the monster called the US military, and though the Iraqi freedom fighters are so outnumbered & ill-equipped , poorly armed, badly trained - they will continue to fight with superhuman valour & bravery to rid their country of the invading American empire. They may not be able to win an outright all-out victory against the monster USA forces - but God bless them - how they have fought so far - and will slowly, gradually bleed the invaders until they have had enough of Iraq. Back in Vietnam the natives amazed the world with their resistance to America & bravery. I pray the Iraqis will do the same. Iraw will be free when the invaders quit & go home.

Yes.

But I still hope the mission is to bring peace to Iraq and reduce terror. If it's a hidden agenda to occupy these permanent military bases, then I worry about what's next in the Neocon grand imperial plan.

If America lose in Iraq, everyone loses. It might need a new strategy and removal of Rumsfeld to get this thing sorted.

It reallys shows a sort of simplistic type of thinking to think that this quagmire in iraq can be summed up with a yes or no. Retarded, almost.

Yes, I do......And I believe the US is winning.

Equally important, I'd like to see the Iraqi people win with a free nation that embraces democracy, tolerance, and peace.

None of the politicians can tell us exactly what win is over there.
