Human evolve from apes?

I don't belive in this because i believe in God and i never heard anything about apes etc in any religious Book.

Now the reason why i am asking this question is because of a friend who surprised me when he said men are from apes and he believes it so strongly. i try to convince him but before that i thought i should read something about this arguement that where did it begin.what's the history behind this , why are there apes pictures in the museum showing a monkey becoming a man, whats all that about?

I would appreciate it very much if someone answers it with religious point of view with any source of any religion. But also appreciate if its not without source or from religious point of view.

Thanks.

Well this will be a long answer I can tell you that! But what a wonderful question! I know we often have friends of different thoughts. But if humans "evolved" from apes? Then why do we still have apes? Apes would have died out. Such as many creatures have due to lack of food, new births or "pro-creation" for the sake of the species. Fossals tell us many species that used to exsist. But there is no evidence that a brachiosaurus evolved into anything other than a fossal fuel.

Well if you are religious then you already know the origin of MAN. You asked for religious and/or counter points of view, thus I will give you what I believe to be true.

Those museum displays are for theory, NOT fact based.

Many aspects of life/living are show cased in museums. Not for their historic reality but for contrast of exhibition, points of view and thought. Religion is greatly represented in museums by many facets of art, from Devici to Thomas Kincade, from Darwin to Christ.

Darwin is represented merely as a curiousity and opposite of Devine Creation. Neither, being acknowleged as TRUTH.

While Darwin's Therory of Elvolution (man from apes) is an interesting read. His personal history should be read to understand his thoughts and concepts, reasoning and methods if you truly seek to discover why some people believe what they do.

The following website is the best on Darwin.

For the religious support of creation: Genesis 1

The Beginning:

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Read the entire passage of Genisis 1 - 28.

21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [b] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Backed by religious scholars for over 2000 years. Many major religions in the world believe in "creation" from a God.

The scholastic traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam for the most part speak of creation ex nihilo. This is typified, for example, by the assumption that the first verse of the Christian Bible ("In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth") indicates the only self-existent entity is God with all other things deriving from God.

Many social structures of faith have beliefs of "creation" as relating to an almighty being.

Apache
In the beginning nothing existed, only darkness was everywhere. Suddenly from the darkness emerged a thin disc, one side yellow and the other side white, appearing suspended in midair. Within the disc sat a small bearded man, Creator, the One Who Lives Above.

Bantu
The Bantu account of demiurge is as follows. Originally, the Earth was nothing but water and darkness. Mbombo, the white giant ruled over this chaos. One day, he felt a terrible pain in his stomach, and vomited the sun, the moon, and the stars. The sun shone fiercely and water steamed up in clouds. Gradually, the dry hills appeared. Mbombo vomited again, this time the trees came out of his stomach, and animals, and people , and many other things: the first woman, the leopard, the eagle, the anvil, monkey Fumu, the first man, the firmament, medicine, and lighting.

Creek
The Creek believe that the world was originally entirely underwater. The only land was a hill, called Nunne Chaha, and on the hill was a house, wherein lived Esaugetuh Emissee ("master of breath"). He created humanity from the clay on the hill.

Religion is about "belief" faith and understanding.

The more we know? The more we understand. Don't try to convert your friend to your way of thinking. Give them the path to walk in.

Allow them to take the steps to salvation for whatever it means to them!

God comes in many forms...........who are we to say that WE are right?

But your math doesn't hold. a can for sure equal b. But you have no proof that b equals c. As well, there is even a book about this... The Third Chimpanzee..... 1. The regular chimp. 2. Bonobos 2. Homo sapiens sapiens. Take a few more classes in biology when you get into college. The connection will then be very clean. And actually, humanity is indeed giving apes the credit and rights they deserve.... we no longer experiment on chimps in this country (the US), and the Barbary Apes in the Gibraltar area, can no longer be caged up. Spain passed a law about two years ago. A better question from you might have been, "why haven't apes....gorillas, chimps and orangs...formed a society like ours?" The reason appears to be that they lack restraint. They for sure use tools, they for sure make alliances, and hunt as a team, plot and plan attacks...... But they all have a short temper, and lack of seeing a larger picture, such as humans do. In effect, not as intelligent. But apes have been taught sign language, and have had conversations with humans, using either sign language or a computer with icons. They have lauguage. And they have taught sign language taught to them, to other apes. Read about Washoe.... google Nevada + ape research to see what you can find. We ARE apes.... but pretty much hairless ones.

I am not religious, and I do not believe in any deity. Of course, since I'm not religious, I do not believe in anything 100%. I cannot say that I am sure the Bible has no reality behind it.

That being said, the fact that the Bible doesn't mention evolution does not mean there it is against the Bible/religion. The Bible was written a long time ago, and back then the people had no possible way of comprehending evolution anyways. So the Bible was written in order to be functioning. It couldn't function as a "believable" message if God would have put evolution in there.

This is a question most Christians have to face and decide for themselves. No the bible doesn't say anything about evolution. But the scientific evidence is concrete. I have stopped believing in the bible as a word for word source of information. The bible was written for the people of its time who could not have understood God's more complex plan. I believe that the universe started with a "Big Bang" There is overwhelming evidence supporting this. But what scientist can't explain is what was before the big bang and what created it? Time couldn't have just started from nothing. Some outside force had to start the universe. I believe this was God. Hope this helps.

Man from ape is an example of Evolution. Darwins theory explains that mankind has evolved from apelike man to the upright walking man that you see today. This is a very slow process that takes millions of years but in the end is life's way of making sure that the organisms in a species with the best genes adapted for that time continue to procreate and pass their best genes from generation to generation. We have found fossils of very early humans which allows us to study and observe the changes that have taken place over time. Did you know that humans still have a very short tailbone? We no longer have a need for it since our centers of balance and methods of transportation have changed. Wisdom molars are also another anatomical feature that we no longer have any need of since our mouths have evolved to a smaller size. The Appendix is yet another organ we no longer need... as generations go by, each on of these useless traits gets deleted from the human genome. All forms of life are in a constant state of evolution but it is very slow and the results are usually not evident for hundreds and thousands of years. The reason there is no cure for the common cold is because it reproduces very quickly allowing it to adapt to changes in its environment. This is evolution.

As a Sasquatch, I look at this question with a slightly different perspective ...

We, as a Very Unique Creature, are very close to human-kind. We can (as I have proven here) use sofistocated electronic equipment with the greatest of ease. And while we are not Great at the use of the English language, we still manage to get our point across. Still, we are not Human!

You see pictures of hairy monsters in the forests, I see pictures of great beauty and mistery!

We are all One!!! It doesn't matter our form or beliefs. All creatures of this world are created by One Magnificent Being! God!!! The Creator of ALL things!

No, in my mind, Humans and Apes are different! Always have been and always will be. Humans are as unique as Sasquatches are to Humans! We are all unique, in Gods plan!

We all try to answer un-answerable questions. It is the nature of the beast.

God Bless for helping others to think!

One day, all will be known!

In His Blessings,

No, humans did not come from apes. In the Bible it says that God created the earth in six days. Evolution was invented by someone named Charles Darwin who didn't believe in God. But he himself said that if the structure of cells were more complex than they thought then his theory is incorrect. And what do you know! It was more complex then they thought!

Actually it is humans and apes, they are both branches of a related tree that share common ancestors. I will not bore you with a discussion of the mechanics of natural selection. If really interested, look it up.

Try to keep in mind that religion is all about fantasy and myth, so don't depend on it for reasonable theories about the origins of man. Science has recently discovered that our genes are almost identical to those of the chimpanzee, which suggests we may have a common ancestor.

weve yet to see evolution create a NEW being.

evolution is just that...it evolves already created beings into different forms..

now all we have to do is figure out if humans are newer versions of apes or ..if apes were a side version of humans...

am sure theyre working on it
