You are doing 5 sets of 20 reps. Reps are repetitions. To gain muscle bulk you should do low reps of high weight. To tone up you should do high reps with not a lot of weight.

If you are trying to bulk up, you would be better off tossing some extra weight on the bar and do less. So here is a sample of how this would work:

Take half the weight you are currently benching, and do 6 repetitions. (Yes, I know you could do alot more at that weight, but stop at 6.)

Now load the amount you are currently doing and do another 6 repetitions. These 2 sets have just been to warm up your muscles.

Now pick a weight that you can do at least 4 repetitions with, but that you can't do more than 6 repetitions with. You probably should have someone spotting for you. Do 3 sets at that 4 to 6 repetition weight.

Do 2 sets of incline and 2 sets of decline presses as well, also with a weight which you can only do 4 to 6 repetitions with. Then drink a protein shake and go home and rest.

Yes, you are doing fewer total repetitions this way, but you will find that this method tends to load on the muscle much faster.
