I have recieved two speeding tickets and both times they put wrong info on the ticket. The first time they just put the color of my car wrong. The second time these things were written wrong:
~State my of my license plate
~Number of doors on my car
~Last name
~SSN
~Color of my car

When I went to pay it the woman was rude as hell and when I tried to tell her the info on the ticket was wrong she said "That doesnt mean you dont have to pay it" and walked across the room to the computer. She never found me in the system and said I must be at the wrong place, maybe it was a sheriff and not a city cop that gave it to me. When I mentioned it to someone else with both of the tickets someone told me "sounds like they were having a bad day". My nephew is 4 and on a bad day he can still count how many doors my car has, tell me what color it is and correctly copy numbers and letters. Does this happen a lot?

I'm not denying I'm speeding or whining...I paid both tickets. I was just wondering if it's common for cops not to copy stuff down right or count doors on a car.

Yes, I've had 2 tickets in 5 yrs. The last one was over a yr ago. I definitely watch my speed now, I dont make enough money to be paying any more of those.

2 speeding tickets. Maybe its time to slow down. But a cop should be able to count doors and know his colours.

At least you are still owning up to it by going to pay your tickets.

As for the rude woman, she probably deals all day with people trying to use nonexistent loopholes like "my car is off white, not white" to save them $51. Even if that is the case she had no right to be rude to you (unless you were rude first).

Now i feel like speeding where you are, maybe the radar the police around you isn't measuring your speed, but the cop's IQ.

yes, while they are trying to write your ticket they have to keep a eye on your car to be sure you are not trying to get out of your car and come back to shoot them. ( yes they are trained to look up after every word or two and look at your car)

Next if it is dark, they have to do it with only a small red light so not to give anyone a target.

While they are doing it, they have a radio with all sorts of cars, colors , and names being told over the radio.

And they may be in a hurry for a dozen reasons.

As for as the clerk, yes they are government employees at a court house and they don't care, never did, and never will.

Well the first one is an honest mistake, but the second one is a little far fetched. Unless of course, you were winking & flashing the nice officer as he was writing and he just became a little distracted.

I'm sorry you're having so much bad luck with speeding in West Virginia.

i just moved from w. Virginia and never had a problem... maybe they figured you wouldn't scrutinize a speeding ticket and just pay it...

Don't know...if its not showing as your car...you should take it to court. A judge will dismiss it.
