Try doing the opposite of what your hair always is. Examples:
*Ponytain>>Hair down
*Curly>>straight
*straight>>add a clip, ribbon, etc.
try a cute outfit too...

Depends on your hair style and length, but I think you should go with what is your favorite hairstyle and whats most comfortable for you. If he doesn't like it, then he isn't worth it.
