I understand there are things of interest for Vets but it is done by word of mouth . Our government gives you the status but does not give you any ideas on what is out there for the Vet.

I would suggest you visit www.VA.gov they have a good site that can go into detail about your rights and disabilities. There are also links that will take you to the state you live in to further understand what is available to you at the state level. I too am a 100% disabled vet, and you ned to hunt for certain infomation to help you understand what is abailable to you. Good luck to ya man!

Exactly what type of discounts are you talking about? If you mean discounts at a store such as a military discount it will be posted in the store. If you are using your vocational rehab you are entitled to a free computer from the VA. If you are trying to buy a house the VA will pay closing costs, you just need to make sure to ask about it because it is not advertised. you get plates for your car so you can park closer in the handicapped spots if you feel you need it. UMMM> there are so many different opprotunities, I can go on and on. (most are for 30% or more, not necessarily 100%)

You heard wrong. Someone might offer military discounts but that is up to them. The Veterans Administration is tasked to provide medical care to include equipment and treatment. There are Government Agencies which can assist the veteran with employment and obtaining the rights accorded him by the per cent-age of disability. I cannot believe any one would believe rumors claiming word of mouth or secret, my chief argument is having read everything so I can argue my rights! Thanks for allowing me to help. God Bless You and the Southern People.
