I want to start a business where I walk, feed, refill water bowls, and give a little affection and attention to people's dogs for them for (maybe) an hour while they are at work. The only problem is I don't know how much to charge. Does anyone have any suggestions?

As a beginner I would start out by asking what your potential customers are willing to pay. Once they see what a great job you are doing & how happy their dogs are.......surely, you will be able to charge more.

My guess would be $10.00/hour. That is an average going rate for employment. Also, you have a place to start and then you can bargain with the customer.

Good luck

Firstly are you going to do dog walking only? Or are you going to do dog walking and looking after animals while people are on holidays? For the dog walking you should have rates for individual and group walks. My advice for group walks is no more than 3 dogs per animal carer AND make sure they are socially compatible. Offer a set rate for one walk a day and offer discounts the more times they want their dog walked a week. Remember to match the time walked each walk with the breed. For example a maltese or other small dog may 25-30 minutes where larger dogs require 45-1 hour. No matter what breed it will benefit from hugs and games after the walk and just relaxing time together. For that one day a week you could between $12-15. Discount it from then on for regular business and clients. Good luck, it's an absolute pleasure working with animals. It makes the world of difference to an animal when they are excercised and given attention.

Any responsibly guy or woman does no longer get you to stroll their canines if it had a bent to bite so your protection ought to be ok. not at all flow by to their back backyard consistently get them to convey the canines to you. provide your mom and dad the handle of the place you're finding out on the canines up from and the path you will take the canines on. purely walk one canines at a time and not at all better than you could handle. no longer many human beings have time to stroll their canines so attempt doing a survey asking how lots they might pay and how long for. i'm beginning a business enterprise in canines washing and function been looking in interior sight papers to locate canines walkers to propose to human beings. so attempt doing a similar and ring them to be certain what they're charging.

I would say probably $10-$25 I guess that would be good? You don't want to charge to much cause people won't go for it if its to expensive.
