Theres this kid i met on myspace... and ive talked to him on the phone a couple of times. And he wants to take me on a dat. Im 17 and hes 18, i know that sounds really wrong, but put yourself in my shoes... i dont really know what to do. I really want to, but i know i shouldnt to be safe. Hes also really nice and that could be because he just wants sex, but i know my standards and I know how to say no.
what should i do?

well, this is a real toughie..Myspace is used, I know by lots of kids today. The sad thing is the world is different today.....if you really would like to go on a date, then I suggest a group date. I know it may not be the kind of thing you are thinking of, but im sure that both of you have friends, and maybe go bowling on a saturday afternoon .. Get to see what hes,s like around his buds and you will have your friends there for support. I hope this helps a little.. Good luck

DONT go on a date there are a lot of crazy people out there these days and i strongly suggest that you dont you can be friends an talk but dont meet. I hope i have changed your mind on going on a date with a guy from myspace

Maybe you should go in a group to a public place. If he's a wacko you'll find out soon enough. Take someone with you, don't be alone and don't let yourself be put in a compromising situation. People on the Internet like to pretend to be someone they aren't its important to tell someone where you'll be. Talk to your parents. See what they think. If he's really who he says and he is worth being with he won't have a problem with you wanting to be safe. If he has a problem with it ditch him quick!

Not really a good idea, I've meet a couple people I met online and you're just setting yourself up for being hurt, just be glad you met a friend, but keep him as just a friend, I'm sure you can meet lots of nice guys at your school.
