Spiritual.
My wife and I would NOT have lasted this long if we weren't spiritually in love with one another.
We're past the physical part of our relationship. We both enjoy making love but we enjoy each other more from a spiritual point of view.
Peace.

It mighty qualify to be a religious experience if you or your wife is quoting scripture while doing it, but if not I think it is more of a spiritual experience.

It can be both depending on how you look at it. Many religions incorperate sex into practice. Tantic, for example, is a sexual exercise from India. The longer you go, the closer you get to god.
