I'm 31 years old and my wife is 24. We have 4 children with twins. Have been married for 6 yrs.

My wife has 3 sisters and a brother. One of the sisters and brother are married. My other two sister in laws are 17 & 15 yrs and they have been living with us for the past six years.
I treat my two sister in laws as my own daughters and they call me dad and I'm fine with that. My wife's parents died when they were 3 & 5 yrs. They've been living with us for 6 yrs and they have called me dad all this time. My wife's happy about it and says I'm great.

I treat them like my own daughters from my heart and have done everything to them including all expenses. I've bought two houses for them, for their marriage. They say that I am like their own dad and kiss me.When I married they were 9 & 11 and from then they have been kissing me Is it okay for them to kiss me in a FATHER DAUGHTER WAY ONLY on the cheek and calling me dad? My wife says she's happy when they kiss me and treat me like a dad

Of course it's okay for them to kiss you in a father/daughter way. Unless it makes you uncomfortable but I don't know why it would. You should be proud they treat you like a dad not worried about it.

You are their brother-in-law and have been a father figure. Cheek kissing is okay. I'm now 21 and for my whole life I have kissed my uncles, aunts, grandparents, older cousins, etc on the cheek. Express to them that you like being a second dad to them since their dad couldn't be around for them, but make sure to bring up their parents once in a while in loving, kind ways, especially since they were so young when they died. Sounds like you're doing well in the parenting department. Keep up the good work.

I thought I was reading Penthouse for a second there. I didn't know where your story might be headed. If they're not weird about it, I don't see why you should be. Although I've never heard of a sister-in-law living as a daughter. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I can see how there could be some awkwardness. I'd just forget about it if I was you. If they are all happy with the situation, go ahead and let yourself be happy with it. Live and let live.

Keep it real, why are you asking? I fear you are afraid it may escalate to something more. They ARE your daughters okay? Remember that, save the lusty thoughts for your wife! Plus, you sound like a great dad, keep the commmunication lines open and good luck!

You might ask yourself why are you asking? Is there something that is uncomfortable for you or them in this show of affection? What you have described is a perfectly natural means for these young people to act toward someone that seems to have cared for them.

Why wouldn't that be okay? That's sweet, nothing wrong or dirty about it. I commend you on stepping up to the plate and being a father to those girls, at a time when they need it most. :)

it sounds like its fine the way you all are and its great that you are able to care for them like that. they are really lucky and it sounds like they realise that which is also good. i think obviously if you asked that question then u dont have any bad motives or wrong thoughts about them so i wouldnt worry about it.

If they're only kissing you on the cheek, it's fine.
