A gorilla. A book. A tornado. A closet. A house. If it begins with a consanant, it is "a" [whatever].
An eagle. An apple. An igloo. An oboe. If it begins with a vowel, it is "an" [whatever].
So why is hour, which clearly begins with an H, which is clearly NOT a vowel, start out with "an"?
And note: I failed freshman english and have continued that low grade streak for over four years so I aint two gud wit it. You have permission to mock me as long as you use the word 'turkey.'
