The issue is about illegals correct. Then why use Mexican as a termonology to identify illegals? If a person would state that the majority of crimes are commited by blacks, people would get mad at the generalization, even though it holds some truth. Why does this not apply to illegal immigration? With crime as well as illegal immigration, all races, colors and ethnicities have part in it. If it was truly about illegals, then the term used to identify them would be illegal, not Mexican. Now on one of my questions a person commented on how Mexicans don't pay SS and will collect it if they get amnesty. Do I fall into that generalization being a naturalized citizen of the USA, holding dual citizenship with Mexico, have served the US Army with 2 tours in Iraq? Is it ignorance or hidden racism?

¡Tres veces mojado! That's a song about the Salvadorans crossing into Guatemala, then Mexico, then the US. The Tigres do the song. Then every year the Salvadoreños renew Temporary Protected Status and pay for a work permit. Then they get a social security card and go get a job weeding lettuce and picking it, and social security gets deducted from their whopping $5 an hour. Then fat people sit around eating a salad and bitching about all the damn illegal Mexicans not paying social security. Then if you say, "A lot of them are from El Salvador," they answer "Yeah, El Salvador Mexicans. They're all on welfare and they're choking up our schools and prisons." I'm glad they know everything because I learn something new every day. I was in the Army for 12 years, and I would partner up with most black soldiers and most latin american soldiers and most white soldiers any day. In the end, it's who you can count on. I don't want a fat bitchin guy eating a salad to catch my back. Back to your question - I think it's ignorance. A lot of people don't know, and they don't want to know. But watch out - the person who says, "I'm getting tired of hearing the word racism used for everything. It's bandied around entirely too much." - that person is the biggest racist of them all.

I have to commend you for serving 2 tours, and stating such a correct question. Most people think of illegals as Mexicans because that is what the news keeps telling us. That is what our government keeps telling us when in all actuality anyone who enters this country illegally is an illegal alien. Whether they are Mexican, chinese, Iraqi, Saudi, Iranian, Italian, Greek, Norwegian, it doesn't matter about the other nationalities because Mexico is the closest that is why everyone thinks of illegals being only from Mexico. It is ignorance and racism.

If, in fact, you are a citizen then you are not an illegal. The fact that 90% of illegals are from Mexico kind of blurs the distinction between the two. People that get mad at facts just don't want to face reality. In any case we can't continue to allow just anyone anytime to cross our boarders at will... Mexican or not. It will destroy this country. That could be a solution to the illegal problem because then no one would want to come here then.

It is ignorance to a certain extent. But, the majority of illegal immigrants are likely from Mexico. And, the biggest problem is with Mexico's acceptance and even encouragement for thier people to come to the US.

But, if you complain about Mexicans, then those are racist comments. And, it isn't hidden.

Can you name another country that has an illegal alien population as large as the US? Every country has immigration laws and enforces them. I can't go to Canada, China, England, France, or Bangladesh without proper documents stating why I am traveling there and how long I intend to stay. If I overstay my visa, I will be sent home, not given Social Security!

You seem intelligent enough, so this should be easy for you to figure out. The illegals in this country are by far mostly Mexicans -- no other nationality comes close, so that's why the generalization. It's common to use generalizations when the numbers are so skewed in one direction.

As a naturalized citizen of the US do you pay into SS? My parents to, so they should get be able to collect. Again, this should be easy to figure out - if you pay into SS, then you should be eligible to collect; and how much you collect should be a function of how much you paid in. If you never pay in, then you should never collect.

I don't see any racism here, but your questions seem a bit ignorant.

I have never said "mexican" and have alway said "illegal". Everytime I have said "there are ways to enter this country and those rules need to be followed". You fit the criteria, therefore you are not illegal.

When someone says " ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT" they don't just mean mexican, they MEAN illegal immigrant,
When someone says mexican illegal immigrants they are reffering to the highest majority of illegals in the USA, they're reffering to MEXICAN ILLEGALS,

The FACT is, Most illegals are Mexican,

Well if you didn't come through the border illegally, then i doubt it applies to you, They won't get amnesty.
I'm sick of people like you who are from Mexico, Who feel they are being violated and persecuted because you hear and see most Mexicans coming here illegally, If your not illegal, you shouldn't be offended,

Maybe it has to do with the Latino illegals holding marches declaring that they somehow are owed something just because the government is too lazy to wrap them all up and ship them out.
