I will tell you from experience age has nothing to do with it. I have known several couple that are 15 years apart that stay together for years. It all has to do with if you two get along well. But wouldn't you be looking for that even if he was your age? Unless, you find it morally wrong, go for it and get to known his as a person, not a number.

Hey if you're both over 18, then you're free to do what you want. If he makes you happy and treats you right, then there's no problem. Just do what feels right to you, and don't worry if anyone else has a problem, it's none of their business. And kudos on getting an older guy, I'm married to a guy 4 years older than me!

If you guys hit it off and he is what you are interested in, then go for it. Life is too short to worry about superficial things like a 5 year age difference. It is not like you are 20 and he is 80! 5 years is not that big of a difference. The important questions are "Does he really care?" or "Does he treat me like I deserve to be treated?"

Go for it. Why does it feel weird to date older men? My husband is 13 years older than me and I love him to death. DOn't skip out on possible love just because society makes you feel uncomfortable. If you really like him, give him a chance. Besides, men are actually less mature than women their age, so intellectually speaking you should be perfect for each other. J/K :)

5 years is not a big difference if you're both adults. women are more mature than men, so a guy 5 years older than you is probably closer to your maturity level than a guy exactly your age anyway. ;)

If it doesn't bother you or him, then it's fine. 5yrs. is not a large age gap and it shouldn't be a big issue. Being he is slightly older could be in your best interest when it finally comes to the S.E.X. because he is able to keep himself in control easier and stay up longer.

I have dated people a LOT younger and a LOT older than me and it was all good. Nice people aren't that easy to find, most people are (_!_)

I don't think so, as long as both of you like each other.
