I'm 23 and I've lost both of my parents within a year and a half of eachother. My mom was hit by a car and killed and my dad died of a heart attack. I also lost my daughter 6 months ago. Am I cursed or something? Has anything like this happened to anyone else?

Yes,my dear. My husband died 10 years ago. Within 6 months of his death, my parents needed to both be in the hosp. Afterwards they came to live with me.After a few months they were back in their home, and the care giving began. Not long after that, my aunt was killed in a car accident. In 2002 my darling little dog needed to be put to sleep. At this time, my mother was in ICU and my dad was living with me. 2 months later, mom died. One year and a month later, my dad died. One year and 4 months later my brother died. Then my uncle and my last aunt died. During all of this I had 2 shoulder surgeries. My sister and her family are an entity ALL their own. SOOOO, I am alone....but I am alright.
I am very sorry to hear of all that has happened in your life. I send you hugs and kisses,my friend. ♥ I promise to say a prayer for you this evening.

I am so sorry for your losses...lost my mom when I was 13...horrible special pain...was lucky enough to have my dad until 1999...but when he died, it was the first of 5 people whom I loved that died within an 18 month period...people at work stopped saying anything to me after the second death...some even were rude and very insensitive..got one of those red light camera tickets after the 4th death and the judge didn't give a ****...yes, I felt like I was cursed..but it will pass..look back and wonder how I got through..one day at a time and if that was too much, then 15 minutes at a time..my friends were my saving grace...and a boss who allowed me to use work as my escape and didn't fuss at me too much..my heart goes out to you..consider yourself hugged...

I have a friend who lost both of her parents her Jr year in high school. I cannot imagine the grief she felt. Her mother died of cancer and her father had a heart attac. She ended up living with a family who were friends of her parents and the dad attempted to molest her, so she moved out and promised not to press charges if they would just leave her alone. I have lost contact with her but know she married and moved on with her life.
I am so sorry for the great loss you must feel. You are not cursed, but are going thru a rough period in your life. Prayers and peace be with you.

I have only lost 1 parent to suicide but I am very distant from my mother I practically live in my room. A fellow classmate lost both of her parents in a car accident in 8th grade when they were coming hoome to her and she has kept going and slowly healed some of the pain and has become very good in school. Im sorry about your loss. You are never alone.

Wow, I'm very sorry about that. I don't beleive you are cursed but that is very depressing and I offer you sympathy. I've never experienced death in my immediate family before but I have a friend who lost is mother and whose father is in jail. Thats the closest thing I can think of but your situaton seems worse and I'm sorry that you had to go through that.

I am very sorry for your loss. I know this isn't quite the same, but my grandfather passed in 1998, and my grandmother in 1999. I was very close to the both of them and losing both of them within a year was very painful. I still think of them always, and I truly believe that once a person dies, their spirit still remains. I know my grandpa and grandma are watching over me and the memories of them don't fade with time, they are vividly cherished. Keep remembering that even though you can't see them, they are still alive in your heart and soul and in spirit.
