My best friend is dragging me to some thing called Speed Dating, I know a little about it but was wandering if any of the amazing Yahoo Answers girls could help me out. Have any of you done Spead Dating? What could I expect from this new experience? Is it something you enjoyed and would do again?

I have been w/ my bf for years but speed dating sounds so cool! I wish I would have known about it when I was single! Have fun, totally do it, if not for yourself for me

I've personally never done it, but I have a friend who tried it. She said that it was definitely a unique experience that she was glad she tried. However, she thought the atmosphere felt too impersonal and rushed. She was thankful for the timelimit, though, when it came to a couple of questionable fellows. Her Speed Dating also had an age limit-maybe you should check if yours does?

Never been but have heard of it. Can't say it's a horrible thing but how do you get to know anything about someone in 5 or 10 minutes. Just have fun though!

i haven't done speed dating, but i've heard about it on tv...its where people sit at tables or desks, and other people meet with the people sitting at the desks, and you guys talk for a certain amount of time and if you like the person you guys can exchange numbers or something...and then they ring a bell or something and then you move to the next person...its something like that, lol

If it is anything like online dating run! Run for the hills! So many trainwrecks in one room can't be a good thing. I can't believe I paid money to meet so many men that are just like the ones I already knew.

they go on a speed dating thing in the movie "hitch". i would not want to meet someone that way. but i guess you could. i would not know what to say in such a short amount of time.

i have never done speed dating before. i just rather meet someone on my on. i have heard of people that have done it before and they didnt like to much because they said that people on there are a little crazy acting... sorry just telling u what i heard!!!

speed dating was horrible! my friend asked me to go along with her and i felt like ever socially illiterate person in the city showed up with the exception of one or two sexual perverts
