Is this normal, if you bite on your gum? I have a big hole in my mouth, and its not too deep. Now, everytime I try to eat something, it stings! Can any one give me any information or adivce on what I should do, what are the risks, when it'll clear up, etc.

Sounds like you have a canker sore! I get those ALL the time. Canker sores usually develop when you bite the inside of your mouth. I guess it's kind of like a little infection. (Also, if you've been getting very little sleep, your immune system will start to break down a little, so small things like canker sores will develop.)

What you can do is make sure you brush your teeth when you go to sleep and when you wake up. That really helps it to heal faster. If it's really bothering you, you can pick up some canker sore medicine from a drugstore.

Sometimes canker sores end up getting bigger before they heal. I've had some that end up half an inch long. (Not too often, though.) Give it two weeks max. If it doesn't go away by then, you might want to visit your doctor.

IF YOU BIT YOUR CHEEK, ORAJEL OR AMBESOL CAN MAKE IT FEEL BETTER. IN A FEW DAYS IT WILL BET BETTER. DO NOT EAT ACIDIC OR SPICY FOODS. TIME WILL TAKE CARE OF IT. NORMALLY, CUTS OR ABRASIONS INSIDE THE MOUTH HEAL FAST.
