What's your diet like? Do you exercise regularly? You are what you eat, so if you're eatting junk food, you're going to feel like crap. Make sure you eat 3 - 6 times a day, eat protein and carbs at every meal. Stay away from fried foods, processed foods (hot dogs, bologna, bacon, american cheese, etc), donuts, chips, fast food, sugar, alcohol, etc. Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, seafood and poultry. Get regular exercise as often as possible. Pick up "Total Body Tune-Up" by Michael Murray.

I use to take the ephedrine like drinking water. I kept increasing my use cause I kept feeling tired, mentally and physically exhausted. Actually what I've learned is that ANY stimulants drain my energy causing me to think I need more. Once I totally stopped the pills, any pill with caffeine in it, I actually found I have more energy and sleep better. It didn't happen overnight but once my system got rid of the caffeine OD I felt tremendously better. Also I took antidepressants during that time and I have to say that the combo made me feel like a yo yo. I take antidepressants now without the caffeine and am feeling much better. Try to rid yourself of the stimulants and give yourself time to recover.

I have felt the very same way. I feel totally drained. Like someone or something has sucked the life right out of me. I have a lot of stress/stressors in my life. Look at your situation. Do you have a lot of stress? Are you eating right? Do you have a GOOD mattress?
Clear up all the unneeded stress/stressors in your life, and (at the risk of sounding crazy) meditate. I'm not saying meditate like a monk. I'm saying set some time aside for yourself. Put on the music YOU enjoy. Light a few candles (blue & white preferred). Sit back, relax, enjoy your tunes, and think of something that soothes you (like a vacation, being with the one you love, having a restful night's sleep). Concentrate on it. Let the candles burn. Go into your own personal paradise. Hopefully this will put you in such a state that you can FEEL relaxed, get better sleep, and wake up refreshed.
Another route: Ever tried Ambien CR? It is a controlled release medication to aid with getting a restful night's sleep. Hope I have helped.

You could have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). I was diagnosed in high school and although I live with it everyday it can sometimes be difficult just to drag myself out of bed in the morning. I am on no treatment now but I have heard that there are vitamin supplements that can be given along with other medications that can make your days more enjoyable. I am usually okay once I get out of bed and get moving so I don't think I have it very badly. Also, some doctors do not believe in CFS or think it is not as bad as it is. If your doctor is one of these try a second opinion.

Agree with the first poster.
Caffeine will make it so you do not sleep! I am a addict to caffeine, I am trying real hard to go to caramel tea. It is supposed to calm you down.
Get away from the stimulants....change your diet, get some exercises.

Rarely do antidepressants work without some form of therapy. You need to find out why you're feeling the way you are. Only then, can the combination of medication and therapy help you.

you may think I am being a crack pot here, but I strongly suggest you get to a gym and start exercising. I know it sounds crazy, since you are already exhausted, but it will really help, I promise. Exercise first thing in the morning, it will wake you up and give you an all day endorphine rush, plus it will increase your testosterone levels and help you feel better.

Caffeine is not recommendable. What about Cymbalta? (antidepressant).
