It should all be equal, but then again, it is according to the judge and the divorce decree, and what state you are in.
I have two boys ages 24 and 22. My ex is STILL paying, with a dumb judge -on the arrears, $15.00 a week, yes, you are reading this right $ 15.00 per week. The original amount set in 1987 was $45.00 per week for 2 children. This is from the state of GA. child support recovery unit.
Other child, now 12, my (another) ex pays 55.00 per week, this was reduced by mutual agreement with the judge at time of divorce decree and me due to my ex had 2 other children he was paying support to. I could have at that time 9 years ago, got $75.00 per week, which was a certain percentage of fathers income-I did not have to agree with this, but did because father is paying medical and dental insurance, and if any of you all KNOW the cost of this, I did still get a fair settlement with this child. This was not monitored by the state of GA. child support recovery unit, just the magistrate county office courts, and pmt.s to be made there weekly.

It depends on your income...my husband has 3 children from previous marraige and pays $800 it also depends on how much the moms make he makes arpox 3000. mo and she made $7 hr.

Each state has guidelines for this. It has alot to do, of course, with how much money he earns.
