Good Lord! Abbie Ball's answer is just as tacky and bizarre!! Sending wedding invitations by e-mail??? I wouldn't even respond to one like that! LOL
As for your question, yes, it is extremely tacky. And very poor taste. I think I'd skip this wedding, too. But then, I don't know anyone that ignorant.

well, i'd have to honestly say tacky....and bizarre, but mostly tacky. Send out the wedding invites, then if you want everyone to know about the pregnancy, wait till a month after the wedding invites have gone out and send out the baby news. It may be a little more costly, but you'll keep from looking like you just rolled up in a trailer...sorry.

Send out the Wedding Invitations wait 4-5 weeks send out the baby announcements and everything is fine that way.
You should never announce to everyone that you are pregnat before you are at least 3 months along

Funny, I just went to a wedding a couple weeks ago; I was one of only 5 people who knew the bride was pregnant (they're keeping it secret for a while-her dad is old fashioned).

Well im sure a lot of people get married for this reason. So why not let people know if you are about to have a child? Maybee they are excited to share their joy with others! So I wouldnt say tacky or bizzarre, I would just call it being open and real.

Um, I think that's called a shotgun wedding : )
I think they should have made the 2 announcements seperately.
I'm sure she would like to get married while she still does not look pregnant- I get that. I don't know why they announced it at the same time. Its kind of one thing stealing thunder from the other. But, whatever makes em happy......
And, you are not stuck up for wondering.

I know of people who married when she was pregnant, but never have they included that little tidbit in the invitation!
I have a little boy, and his daddy and I are planning to marry next year, and he will be our ring bearer.
And in her first trimester, she probably wouldn't look pregnant, especially if it's her first baby. I had my son in February, and I didn't show until November. Didn't even gain any weight until October, which was the end of my second trimester.
