I suggest that you read what the bible says about these counterfiet Christians. 2 Timothy 3:1-8 You should also know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and unforgiving: they will slander others and have no self control: they will be cruel and have no interest in what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. THEY WILL ACT AS IF THEY ARE RELIGIOUS, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. You must stay away from people like that......Their minds are depraved, and their faith is COUNTERFIET.
Jesus called them "wolves in sheep's clothing." Mat. 7:15 Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
I have only given you two passages to read, but scripture is full of warnings about COUNTERFIET CHRISTIANS. And today, they are not only teaching in the counterfiet christian churches, but they are also integrating the true Christian Churches. So like Jesus said, we must watch out for them and stay far away.

Your relationship with Christ must be a personal one. Do not put your trust in the preachers. Also, even check out what they say, as many distort the truth.

Check out their cars and houses if you can! Non-profit organizations are supposed to make their books public, so you can see (theoretically) what the pastor is making. And how the church funds are being spent.

This SHOULD be done at your local church so you see where your offerings are going. If the books aren't public record, then something is wrong. Report them to the IRS, and go to another church.

Do not suppose to associate the denominations in the USA with the teachings of the Word and the way a Christian should live. American churches have a very big problem with living a Christian life. We seem to think that Father God is going to forget how we lived lives of wealth while the average income for most of the rest of the world is $600 per year. Ostriches with our heads in the sand wouldn't you say.

Jesus was furious when the Pharisees were using the temple as a place of business (they were selling sacrificial supplies, if I remember correctly). I agree with you, but take heart. Most churches and pastors do NOT have million dollar homes of expensive cars. They are, thankfully, rather rare, compared to the number of churches that exist worldwide.

Don't Kid yourself, Jesus was Rich, but HE Became Poor so We could be Rich.
I don't want to Judge Anybody, Jesus is the Great Judge, but, sometimes People get Into religion, and sometimes Children of GOD make a religion out of Reality (Knowing Jesus and Walking With HIM).
Jesus will Judge These Things, not up to anybody Else.

If you were Satan and you were seeking to discredit the church and the work of the church, wouldn't you tempt the church and its leaders to abuse the money that was donated? Of course you would. And obviously the tactic is working. Dishonest and corrupt church leaders does not nullify the message, but it sure makes it harder for true Christians to spread the good news of the gospel.

I do not know about other churches, where i attend we pay our preacher, and it comes from the members. We furnish him and his family a very nice home. It is his way of living. I suppose if the church was larger or smaller that would depend on what type of income he gets.
Would you want to work for nothing?

Not all that say LORD LORD shall inter into heaven, their are some, that were made rich, because they did or do, what God has called them to do, and God can trust them with so much, the Bible says the poor, we will always have with us, do you know preaching the word, and geting people saved, is more important, then saving the starving? this life here is for a season, but the one to come, is for eternity, we do what we can to help those in need, and we can`t do it all, but make sure the soul, is in good standing with God, and not just yours, but as many as you can. this is a must.

My pastor has neither of those things. And it's not the churches that are good.
Jesus said He would build His church. the church isnt' a building it's a family of believers.

I drive a nice car myself though and I am not hurting for money, and it's because I tithe my 10% to GOD.

If a church is paying its pastor that kind of salary it isn't good a church. But churches don't pay that kind of salary.

People who make that kind of money have some kind of TV scam, where they are not held accountable to a local congregation, elders, and denomination. The are entrepreneurs.
